I have two current projects involving hexagons. I have blogged about them before but this is just a quick update on how they are progressing.
The Hexodus Throw is still chugging along. I am thinking about tasking myself with making one hexagon per day so that I get it finished before spring is out. Thoughts?
I’m doing much better with Puffy Diddy, aka The Beekeeper’s Quilt, that consists of a few hundred hexapuffs. I have done 80-something of them and am on pace to have it done within a year of beginning.

consider the hexodus throw complete and put the puffies around the edge of the hexodus, until they are used up, then finish it with a final border of felted hexagons layered with denim, and then cut a hole in the middle and wear it as a poncho and sew about 100 jingle bells on it so that you find yourself with people giving you extra space on public transportation. also, use extra time to practice your calligraphy.

Hexodus throw is looking very pretty. I would keep going but it can be the project you pick up when you need a break from other ones. I keep seeing hexapuffs breeding on Rav and other places and they’re so intriguing, I’m sure they must be addictive.

They are addictive! For once I’m not afraid I’ll run out of gas before the project is over

That’s quite a pile of hexapuffs! Definite color preference going on, too…lots of pink and pale neutral.
Hexodus looks from here like it’s getting close to being a small hexagon-shaped lap blanket; maybe get it to a full hexagon and then start working around the edges? I bet crocheting around the edges would go a lot faster than hexagons attached to the rest of the blanket…
